Smaro Loupasaki, or simply Smaro Lou, is an illustrator from Chania, based in Athens. She studied graphic design and has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in multi-awarded creative design studios in Athens. Today, she works as an independent designer, mainly as an illustrator. Her work is inspired by everyday life, her surroundings, and the things she loves. She draws ideas from places she visits, personal experiences, and very often from her cats. She transforms these influences into playful scenes, with a light sense of humor or a subtle surreal twist. Her illustrations feature clear shapes, bold outlines, bright colors and textures, creating friendly, lively images that tell stories.
